CJ Biomaterials continuously evolves its portfolio to provide for compost solutions. We offer 3 types of PHACT™ products. Our customers can choose CJ Biomaterial’s PHA neat resin, masterbatch, and compound products to meet needs and requirements.
PHA is an excellent modifier for other polymers and can be used to increase bio-based content, accelerate biodegradation and improve the functional properties of resins and finished products. In the environment, PHAs have been shown to rapidly and naturally degrade into CO2 and H2O primarily via enzymatic breakdown.
PHA and PHA-based compounds can be used in traditional plastic manufacturing environments. Typical uses include: injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, extrusion, film, fiber and coating.
